All
classes are ongoing and open to all levels of experience. For class
availability, check the Schedule page. If you don’t see one that works for you,
let me know; I am willing to open more classes if there is enough interest.
In
order to give every student individual attention, the class size is kept to a
maximum of 7 registered students.
We
will take time to examine and consider the work of master artists and to learn
about composition, design, color, and technique as well as different artistic
styles.
Students
are encouraged to practice drawing in their sketchbooks at home – to draw
every day, and not to be concerned with finished drawings. The purpose is to
develop skills, yes, but also, and maybe more importantly, to become
comfortable with the process of drawing – to make the act of drawing as
familiar as any other daily routine.
